Our Spool Quilt is done!
Forty eight of us pariticpated to make this quilt.
Thanks ladies!

Anna Mary just completed this beauty.

It's a pattern by This & That, called Northern Enchantment
It's made from the newest Holly Taylor line, Enchanted Pond.

Fat Quarter Projects

These cute little carrots are stuffed with Jelly Beans.
Sew quick, and easy to make.  I folded my ties in, instead of making a tube and trying to turn something that small.  A piece of green ribbon would work fine too.
Linda helped to make several of these.  I know she's planning on her grandchildren getting them.
Sure would be cute in an Easter Basket.

Tari's Claire bag was made with 7 fat quarters of Noteworthy by Moda.
This bag will be featured at our next Saturday Sew, on April 13th.   This workshop is full.
May, will be our last Saturday Sew until September.

Fat Quarter Challenge

Over the next four months, Kathy will be sharing 4 small quilts from this Lori Smith, Fat Quarter Quilting Book.  This book features 21 16"x20" projects.  It's a great way to use small scraps and practice your piecing skills.   If you make any 4, of the 21 featured in this book, you may enter your name in a drawing to be held in July.
Think about joining us for this challenge.

Kathy also made a new shop sample to inspire us.

Whistlepig Creek Productions: Best Buddy Bone Bed.
It's 60"x36"

Drum roll please....

Granny Along Challenge is over....the winner of the door prize is  Bonnie K.

Our knitted feature today is a baby blanket by Tari.

We just got in Fame Trend Paljett, by Marks and Kattens in these two colorways.

I'm working on this scarf.
Tari made this striped infinity scarf.   I was so inspired by hers.  Super cute! It's an easy knit.   Looks like we are going to have the weather to wear it still for a bit........  Planning to have it done to show on Thursday.

Just a few links for you to enjoy.

Want to make a sweet receiving blanket for a special baby?   Check out this video.  It's made much like a 10 minute tablerunner.   Fabric requirements:  40x40" square of fabric and a "30x30" square of fabric.  Printed directions for another size can be found here.

Join us!

Half Moon Bay - Uses just 6 fat quarters.
This Saturday (3/2/2013) we will be having a Saturday Sew at the shop.
(Call the shop to make sure there is still room.  We currently have 4 more spaces)
We will be there from 9:30 a.m. till about 3p.m.  Or, just drop in to visit with us.

Take 4

These placemats are made with 4 coordinating fat quarters.
The pattern instructions include 5 different options for cutting and sewing.
We sold out at Moda, but more patterns are on the way.

Sweet Celebrations

A reversible apron that is also made using fat quarters.  It is featured on the cover of the Moda book, Sweet Celebrations, along with many other great projects.   This apron, would make such a cute gift.

# 9725 Neck Down Cardigan for Women

If you are new to knitting, or just don't like sewing pieces together, this is the sweater for you.  This sweater is knit from the neck down.  Once you get below the shoulder, sleeve stitches are put on holders while you knit the body of the sweater.  You then go back and knit the sleeves to desired length.  No sewing required.  My sample is made with Cascade 220 yarn (worsted).

Mark your calendars now for our March Moda Club - 3/20/13
Our next Saturday Sew will be April 13th.
