2016 January Moda Club

Awesome Show & Tell ladies!
What a great start to a new year.   So inspiring!

Here is a recap of what we shared.

This is the project, I had linked with the January reminder.

In 2016, Cathy is going to be taking us on a
Star Adventure.  This month, we looked at the Sawtooth Star.
Cathy will be making all her blocks out of batiks.  At the end of the year, there will be a quilt layout presented.  In November, participants of this challenge will have a chance at a separate drawing.

Tweety's Snowflake  -  What a fun, way to use a few scraps!   Sandy made it up as a wall hanging.

 Linda, as a pillow top.

I couldn't resist....made one too.
(We did not use texture magic on our birds.)
This is a very quick project.

Rose made this beautiful quilt!

The pattern is a Villa Rosa Card - Sundance
Kits are available.

Our featured tote - Prints Charming
One charm pack and some additional fabric.

Charms not used on the exterior are sewn together for the lining.
 Easy to follow directions.

Our Book of the Month

Anna Mary, made this "yooper" version of the quilt featured on the cover.
This is a wonderful, flannel quilt.

We had an "Ugly Fabric" exchange.  Can't wait to see the Show & Tell from this challenge!  Your project, using the "ugly fabric" you got is due at the March Moda Club Meeting.  Have fun!

2016 Group Quilt
We had over 50 blocks turned in!  I will be accepting blocks until 2/18/16.  Please drop your completed blocks off at the shop by that date.  Hopefully we will be enjoying this completed quilt by March.  In November, one lucky
participant will get to take it home.

  2. Hi Marcia,
On the star adventure, are we to make a different star each month that will then be out together in a quilt?

  3. That's the plan. You may chose to make one as a project: table runner, to be entered. Kathy is planning to design a quilt, using all the stars at the end. I would recommend the six inch star block from this month.
