New Year Resolutions...

We are spending the month of January focusing on organizing and using stash/scraps.   Add a little humor to your sewing room, by using a little stash, to make this cute wall hanging!

Gadget Bags

We talked about scrap organization, especially Lori Holt's method.

Even the smallest scraps are useful!

Fill a suet feeder with all your trimmed strings.  

They will use it in the Spring for building their nest!

In 2019, look for our "Miniature Minute"

Kathy and Anna Mary, will be challenging us to work on our piecing skills with a small quilt each month.

All mini quilts will come from the above 2 books this year.

Another great way to use scraps and build your skills!

New in 2019 is With Needle and Thread

Anna Mary and Kathy are hosting this club, 

which meets the first Friday of each month.

  They are featuring this block of the month wool piece.  It has an interchangeable place to put a monthly block.  The pattern includes instructions for both wall hangings.

We had a nice turn out at the first meeting.  People were working on binding quilts, hexi's, applique, embroidery etc.  

Consider joining us on 2/1/19, 9:30-3 p.m. for our next With Needle and Thread Group.  Sack lunch is encouraged.

2019 Group Blocks are being accepted until 2/14/19 

This year's quilt is very scrappy, but please make sure you have a definite light and dark side to your block.  We are looking for 2 blocks from each participant.  Thanks for joining in the fun!

At our February Moda, we will be looking at Log Cabins.

Plan to bring something log cabin you have made for Show & Tell.
