Moda Club 2018 A Year in Review




January:  We were all about Hexi's!  Some freebie links we shared:  Sugar Cookies   We also talked about scraps and shared the pattern Sewing Essentials.



February:  The Rail Fence.  Baby Quilt (rail fence),  National Embroidery Month.  Sandy, made S is for Snowflakes.




March:  The Four Patch!  Lots of great links:  Coffee Time Quilt




April:  Jacobs Ladder.  Charm friendly:  Jane's Ladder from Moda Bake Shop.




May:  Flying Geese.  Especially love the flying geese ruler by Creative Grids.






June:  Fun, Summer sewing projects.  We featured above quilt, Centered Around You, and Zippy Strippy Bags.  Pioneer Woman, placemat bags, and the cute/little Christmas Bobbles Quilt.



July:  Tranquilty - a beautiful quilt for Summer (Kits Available)
We looked at the Dresden Plate.  Embroidered, Christmas Dresden Pillow, Spiked Dresden, Curved Dresden.




















August:  Bear Paw!  Berry Baskets.  




September:  Nine Patch!   Bonnie Hunter's Split Nine Patch Leader and Ender.  Our 2019 quilt inspiration.  Chicken Feed, by Schnibbles, is a nine patch and snowball quilt.  Nine Patch Star table runner.  Which Witches Boots, a nine patch border surrounding a beautiful Halloween embroidery.


October:  Kay Peterson, our Quilting Treasures Rep, did a power point presentation on fabric which was much enjoyed by all.

November:  Besides a wonderful Show & Tell, we did numerous door prizes as we looked back at our Moda Club 2018 year.  As always, Jim and Sarah, provided a nice coupon to use in December.  2019 Group quilt instructions given out.  We are asking for 2 blocks from each person participating.  Please bring your block to our January meeting.



Happy New Year!   In 2019 we will start the year off with organizing stash, things to make with scraps/stash.  Be looking for your favorite scrap/stash project to bring for show and tell in January.  Like us on facebook for daily inspiration.
